A Lightning Protection System is designed to shield buildings and structures from the damaging effects of lightning strikes. It consists of key components including the Lightning Arrester, which attracts lightning strikes and directs the current safely, the High Mast Pole to maintain the correct height for the arrester, the Down Conductor to provide a low-resistance path for current flow, and the Strike Counter to record each lightning event. All these components work together to safely guide lightning energy toward the Earthing System, preventing structural damage, electrical hazards, and potential fires.
