The strip-in-pipe configuration provides superior conductivity and corrosion resistance, ensuring a long operational life even in challenging soil conditions. It is easy to install, maintenance-free, and ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial applications where consistent earthing performance is critical.
Trusted for its durability and performance, this electrode complies with IS 3043 and other standard electrical safety norms.
The main elements are:
Outer GI Pipe: Provides mechanical strength, serves as a conduit for the strips and EEM, and makes initial contact with the ground. It is galvanized (zinc-coated) to protect against corrosion.
Inner GI Strips: These are the main conducting components. Using strips inside the pipe increases the total surface area for current dissipation substantially when compared to a single solid pipe. The strips are also galvanized.
soil Enhancing Material (EEM) / Chemical Backfill: This is an essential component for filling the gap inside the pipe and the surrounding soil pit. It is often a highly conducting, hygroscopic (moisture-retaining), and corrosion-resistant substance.
Key Features:
- High Conductivity: GI strip increases surface area for efficient fault current dissipation.
- Corrosion Resistance: Hot-dip galvanized pipe provides protection against rust and soil corrosion.
- IS 3043 Compliant: Manufactured as per Indian standards to ensure electrical safety and reliability.
- Easy Installation: Lightweight and versatile design allows for quick installation in various soil types.
- Maintenance-Free: Ensures long-term performance with minimal upkeep.
- Versatile Applications: Ideal for use in residential, industrial, and commercial grounding systems.
Applications:
GI strip-in-pipe earthing electrodes are strong and efficient, making them suited for a wide range of applications, particularly when reliable and low-resistance earthing is critical:
Industrial Plants: Protecting heavy machinery, control panels, and entire industrial buildings.
Commercial Buildings: Ensure the safety of offices, retail spaces, and other commercial establishments.
Residential Complexes: Providing dependable earthing for single and multi-story residential buildings.
Lightning Protection Systems: serve as the major channel for lightning discharge.
Solar power: installations include grounding solar panels and inverters.
